Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Patient Care Advanced Medical Assistant to work with Primary Care Providers and the care team to deliver patient-centered care. The role focuses on patient safety, timely care, and collaboration with clinicians to close care gaps and improve outcomes.

The position requires a high school diploma (MA program preferred) and completion of MA competencies with clinic academy training.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.
• Must have completed all MA Competencies.
• Complete Advanced Standard Rooming with overall achievement >= 90% for the last 6 months including AWV questionnaire and documentation, Thorough Medication Reconciliation, Closing all open care gaps as indicated, Encounter Guide (Fall Risk, Depression, Breast Cancer Screening, Colorectal Cancer Screening, and Diabetes Eye Exam), Blood Pressure Recheck for patients with elevated initial blood pressure reading, Completion of Patient Experience Conversation

Responsibilities

• Partner with patients, providers and the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes.
• Provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way.
• Perform duties in alignment with Mercy mission, values and Service Standards.
