Sentara Gastroenterology Specialists in Norfolk, VA is hiring a full-time, day shift Advanced Care Surgery Coordinator. The role coordinates surgical posting and operative care for advanced surgery physician practices across multiple specialties, manages physician relations, and oversees pre‑operative testing and post‑operative care coordination.

Emphasis is on patient education, scheduling oversight, and maintaining smooth operative workflows for multiple physicians within Sentara Health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Three years in a clinical setting is required.
• Surgical clinic setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical posting and operative care for advanced surgery physician practices (Orthopedics, Advanced GI, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics, Bariatric, Reconstruction and Plastic Surgery, or Neuro‑interventional service lines).
• Manage physician relations and pre‑operative chart/pre‑admission testing processes.
• Coordinate post‑operative care and patient operative process education.
• Monitor the surgery schedule for multiple physicians.
