Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Technical training in mechanical maintenance totaling two years and three years of applicable work experience.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Performs duties of the Maintenance Mechanic I classification.
  • Tests, regenerates, inspects, adjusts, changes filters, repairs and replaces components of water softeners, distilled water and laboratory water systems downstream of approved backflow preventers.
  • Aligns and replaces hot water heating, chilled water and condenser water pumps.
  • Inspects services and performs daily operation of hot water heating systems and low-pressure steam chillers.
  • Repairs and replaces hot water heating, low pressure steam equipment systems and steam/chiller components.
