Job summary

The State of Minnesota seeks an experienced campus HVAC technician to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building automation systems across facilities. You will handle preventive maintenance, monitor energy management, and keep records for compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

A valid driver's license is required.
Ability to perform semi-skilled trades work including minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC tasks.
Ability to perform minor repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions safely.
Skills in using hand and power tools and other trades equipment.
Knowledge of safety measures related to trades work.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair campus HVAC and building automation systems.
Perform preventive maintenance and respond to service requests.
Monitor and adjust building automation and energy management systems.
Maintain HVAC equipment, controls, chillers, and related components.
Diagnose system issues and maintain accurate records.
Support regulatory and safety compliance and energy efficiency efforts.
Assist with estimating project needs and supporting other trades.
Maintain equipment spaces and perform additional duties as assigned.
