Job summary

Armstrong World Industries is seeking an Advanced Machine Operator for its Johnstown, OH facility to operate and set up a Bruck perforating press. This role requires strong mechanical skills, precision setup, and autonomous troubleshooting on the 2nd shift with a $1/hr differential.

The ideal candidate will manage setup, quality verification, and process control to maintain high-precision perforated metal production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of industrial press operation experience.
• Ability to independently perform machine setups and changeovers.
• Proven troubleshooting ability in a production environment.
• Perforating press experience strongly preferred.
• Equivalent experience with stamping presses acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate the Bruck perforating press per orders.
• Prepare tooling and dies for perforation patterns.
• Program or adjust machine controls including feed rates.
• Perform complete setup and changeovers on the press.
• Install and align die-based perforation tooling.
• Read blueprints and inspect perforated parts for tolerances.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and control issues to minimize downtime.
