Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University in New Jersey is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, testing and repair of biomedical and clinical data/network systems across multiple locations.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Biomedical fields (or equivalent experience), strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work as part of a team; travel to different sites may be required; comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field or High School Diploma with 2 years of progressive experience in electronic/electromechanical repairs.
• 1 year progressive experience in repairs and preventive maintenance on biomedical equipment.
• Ability to perform component-level repairs at least 35% of the time.
• Knowledge of QA procedures, test equipment, and service documentation.
• Ability to use service manuals and vendor documentation to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM workloads to maintain high PM compliance.
• Provide safety checks and installations on biomedical and communications equipment.
• Identify and obtain supplies to service equipment at lowest cost.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality control standards for biomedical equipment.
• Deliver in-service training on biomedical equipment and electrical safety.
