Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Skilled Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to factory standards while building customer trust in our care for safety and reliability. The role offers $23.00 per hour with advancement potential and a path to shop growth, including certifications and cross-department movement.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, coordinating with Parts and Service Advisors, and conducting thorough inspections.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years automotive technician experience preferred.
• Automotive technical training varies by store needs.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Attention to detail with strong organization and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order, adhering to dealer and factory standards to drive loyalty.
• Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by Customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Document all work on repair orders; maintain tools inventory for standard needs.
• Keep current with factory bulletins and attend training as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer experience to enhance loyalty.
