Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a skilled technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, building trust with customers and ensuring confidence in AutoNation as a care‑giver for their vehicle safety and reliability.

You will participate in paid OEM training, benefit from a strong pay/bonus program, and have defined career paths across service, sales, management, and corporate roles within a nationwide footprint.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years automotive technician experience.
• Ability to complete manufacturer required training.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repair, if authorized by the Customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal Technician’s tools.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
