Job summary

Hendrick Honda Hickory in Hickory, NC is hiring an Automotive Technician to identify service needs and perform repairs to dealer standards. You will diagnose complex systems, use OEM tools, and document all work with accuracy.

The role requires a valid driver's license and prior dealership experience, with ASE/OEM certifications preferred. We offer extensive benefits, training, and a clear path for advancement in a state-of-the-art facility with rotating schedules, including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• A/B level technician with 5+ years of dealership or high-volume shop experience.
• Proven expertise in driveability, electrical, and HVAC diagnostics.
• Valid driver's license; OEM certifications preferred.
• ASE certifications a plus (A1 through A8).
• Experience with hybrid and EV systems preferred.
• EPA 609 refrigerant certification preferred.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts including Saturdays and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex diagnostic evaluations and precision repairs across engine, transmission, electrical, ADAS, and more.
• Utilize the latest OEM diagnostic tools for accurate, efficient repairs.
• Examine customer vehicles, identify necessary repairs, and estimate costs.
• Perform vehicle repairs and maintenance to Honda and dealership standards.
• Document all services performed and record hours accurately in the timekeeping system.
• Request necessary parts and follow manufacturer service guidelines on all repairs.
• Maintain CSI scores at or above company standards; mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area; participate in required training.
