Job summary

Hendrick Automotive Group in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a qualified automotive technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain customer vehicles. You will estimate repair costs, request parts, and ensure work complies with dealer and manufacturer guidelines while maintaining high CSI scores.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED with automotive training, a valid driver’s license, and manufacturer certifications.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of automotive parts and systems.
• Demonstrable mechanical skills and knowledge.
• Technical training or commensurate technical experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• State inspection/emissions license.
• Manufacturer training and/or ASE-related preparation.

Responsibilities

• Examines customer vehicles.
• Identifies necessary vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Estimates cost of repairs.
• Performs vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Documents services performed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Requests necessary parts.
• Maintains CSI at or above company standards.
• Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area.
• Observes safety rules and regulations.
