Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers in Columbus, GA is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform basic and advanced maintenance and repair tasks, inspect vehicles for issues, and troubleshoot to ensure the vehicle is performing properly and customers are satisfied.

Responsibilities include applying repair knowledge, delivering high-quality service, diagnosing problems, maintaining safety standards, and keeping a clean work area. Weekend availability is preferred for our shop schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years automotive service, automotive mechanic, and/or engine diagnostic experience in a professional capacity.
• ASE Certification preferred, but not required.
• Must have Technician Tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Top-notch customer service skills with a desire to build long term trust and relationships with our customers.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Apply in-depth automotive repair knowledge to service tasks.
• Provide service of the highest quality to customers.
• Perform skilled mechanical work while diagnosing problems.
• Inspect, replace and/or repair defective parts and perform preventative maintenance.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay abreast with automotive technology.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company values in all interactions.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety standards and procedures.
