Job summary

AutoNation in the United States seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, ensuring safety and reliability. You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, diagnose faults, and conduct multi-point inspections to recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs if authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections to check safety and reliability and make recommendations.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of normal technician tools and be aware of special tools.
• Keep up with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
