Job summary

Auto Plus is seeking an Automotive Mechanic who will professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair tire and automotive services, while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will explain diagnoses to customers and co-workers, stay updated with evolving automotive tech, and mentor teammates. Maintain a clean, safe shop and comply with policies.

The role requires learning through training, teamwork, and a strong customer-focused attitude, with flexibility to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• At least 6 months of automotive mechanical problem-solving and repair experience.
• Section 609 Certification is required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• High level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension and alignment systems.
• Perform all maintenance services and duties of a General Service Technician.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and co-workers.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies through formal training.
• Assist fellow technicians as needed and keep management informed of repair issues.
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe shop and adhere to company policies.
