Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to repair and service vehicles to dealer and factory standards. Your work will help restore customers to the road while building trust and confidence in AutoNation’s care for their vehicles.

You will be part of a busy shop with tenured technicians, receive paid OEM training, eligibility for bonuses based on productivity, and a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store).
• Attention to detail.
• Organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair/maintenance as per repair order, to dealership/factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Dept. and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety/reliability improvements.
• Document work on the repair order for each vehicle.
• Maintain standard tool inventory not normally inventoried by Service.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and take part in training classes.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
