Job summary

AutoNation is seeking an Advanced Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, driving customer loyalty by delivering trusted, reliable service. You will collaborate with Service Advisors and Parts to manage production, diagnose issues, and document work, while keeping up with factory bulletins and training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store needs).
• Attention to detail; organization and follow-up skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, per dealership and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs when authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and make recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of customer vehicles.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the Service department as 'special tools'.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and participate in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
