Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Speech Language Pathology program with MS degree.
• No experience required; 1–2 years in an academic/large medical center based practice preferred.
• Must maintain a current CT license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist; BLS certification required within 2 months of hire; ASHA membership required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret physician referrals to perform basic clinical evaluations.
• Utilize assistants, staff and volunteers to safely deliver patient care.
• Delegate responsibilities to therapy assistants and students with appropriate supervision and documentation review.
• Maintain concise and accurate patient care documentation and billing per policy.
• Engage in professional development and stay informed of developments in the field.
• Operate equipment safely and report malfunctions to Supervisor.
