Job summary
Abacus Solution Group is seeking a dedicated Adult Protective Services (APS) caseworker to complete intake assessments, investigate referrals, and determine service and financial needs using the Uniform Assessment Instrument. Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, in-person at our Virginia Beach office.
The role requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field, and several years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license. Experience with older or disabled adults is essential.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in a human services field and three years of experience in a human services field; or a bachelor's degree in any field with at least five years of related experience.
- Must have a current and valid driver's license.
- Experience must include two years in Adult Protective Services or working with older and disabled adults.
Responsibilities
- Complete intake assessments for Adult Protective Services (APS) referrals.
- Investigate APS referrals within policy requirements.
- Assess risk factors and capacity using the Uniform Assessment Instrument to determine needs and services.
- Develop service plans, referrals, and connect clients with community resources.
- Gather, interpret, and apply interview and investigative information to direct clients to services.
