Job summary

Multnomah County's Department of County Human Services (DCHS) seeks a management‑level leader for the IDDSD program serving clients 18+. The role reports to the Adult Program Manager 1 and oversees staff, coordinates case management, and ensures delivery of services under federal, state, and county rules.

You will guide staff through training, information sharing, and planning in line with audits and policy updates, while supporting a respectful, inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff stay up‑to‑date on Developmental Disabilities programs.
• Provide information and professional consultation to staff.
• Hold regular section meetings to discuss policy and updates.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators to assign tasks.
• Review customer comments and public feedback in a timely manner.
• Monitor staff performance using reports and client feedback.
• Evaluate program systems to improve efficiency and quality.
• Advise on at‑risk cases and manage related communications.
• Identify service gaps to inform program development and advocacy.
• Liaise with community providers to access needed services.
