Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Practice Manager for the Adult Medicine team at Revere Health Center. You will lead administrative and clinical support staff, own daily operations, and partner with leadership to keep the practice performing at its best.

The role emphasizes staff development, HIPAA compliance, budgeting, payroll, revenue cycle awareness, and cross-site leadership coverage within a single-site or small multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5-7 years of supervisory experience and 5-7 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong analytical and math skills, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, physician billing, and revenue cycle management.
• Ability to adapt to multiple and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily performance of secretarial and clinical support staff, manage schedules, and coordinate coverage.
• Hire, orient, and evaluate staff; coach, counsel, and train; administer corrective action when appropriate.
• Ensure staff complete mandatory training and adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Evaluate, develop, and implement administrative systems and procedures, and analyze practice performance metrics.
• Collaborate on annual budgets, oversee payroll and resolve payroll issues, and monitor patient billing for compliance with revenue procedures.
• As a member of the leadership team, provide administrative cross-coverage to address staffing and operational issues.
