Job summary

IU Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse to provide and coordinate evidence-based care across the full care continuum. The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to advance each patient’s plan of care and improve outcomes.

Qualified candidates will hold an active Indiana RN license or NLC license, have at least ASN education with BSN preferred, and possess BLS certification; additional life support credentials may be required per unit.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license.
• Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions may apply if more than two years of acute care experience, subject to CNO approval.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum (assessment to evaluation).
• Participate in decision‑making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care.
• Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, guidelines and all regulatory and accreditation standards.
