Job summary

Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking an Employment Specialist to join the WorkPlace Associates (WPA) team in Butler County, Hamilton, OH. You will work one-on-one with adults to identify goals, develop job skills, secure employment opportunities and maintain long-term success in the workforce.

Using our IPS model, you\'ll help clients secure jobs, coordinate with families, schools and employers, and support ongoing success while maintaining accurate case records and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation for community-based services.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to identify participants' interests, skills, strengths, work history, educational background, and employment goals.
• Develop and implement individualized Vocational Service Plans.
• Provide job development, placement, coaching, and retention services.
• Conduct community-based vocational and work assessments.
• Support participants throughout the employment process, helping them overcome barriers and achieve success.
• Facilitate job-seeking, career readiness, and social skills groups.
• Coordinate services with family members, advocates, treatment providers, schools, and community supports.
• Build and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners.
• Serve as a liaison between consumers, employers, funding sources, and program leadership.
• Lead live and virtual vocational training sessions using Microsoft Teams and established curriculum.
• Maintain accurate case records and complete required documentation within established timelines.
• Participate in biweekly therapy meetings and weekly ACT team meetings.
• Assist individuals in community settings as needed.
• Contribute to IPS Fidelity standards and ensure compliance with OHMAS requirements.
• Maintain a positive, collaborative team environment.

Work Environment: The WPA program is a community-based services program that are headquartered in an office environment. Must be able to provide community-based by operating their own vehicle. Exposed to a combination of office, school and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and children who are upset.
