Job summary

Community LIFE Bedford Day Center is seeking a Day Center Supervisor (Full Time) to lead and train day center staff, ensuring the Plan of Care is followed and operations run smoothly in Bedford, PA. The role requires coordinating tasks, supervising staff, and maintaining a safe environment for participants.

Minimum two years in geriatric health care with supervisory experience, plus an Associate degree or equivalent and a PA driver's license (CNA preferred).

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in public health, nursing or social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years’ experience in geriatric health care setting; supervisory/lead experience required.
• Valid PA Driver's License; CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train day center staff (Aides) including delegation of daily tasks to ensure the Plan of Care is followed.
• Maintain day-to-day operations to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for participants.
• Communicate with other departments and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assess, plan care for and provide services to frail elders according to Community LIFE standards.

Salary Range: $57,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

Location: Bedford, PA

Schedule:Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm

Summary of Job Duties:
The Day Center Supervisor is responsible for the general supervision and training of the day center staff (Aides) including, but not limited to: coordination/delegation of daily tasks to ensure the day center Plan of Care is followed, performance management, communication with other departments, problem solving and compliance with Community LIFE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The Day Center Supervisor maintains the day-to-day operations of the day center to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for participants. The Day Center Supervisor must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards.

Required Education: Associates degree or equivalent in public health, nursing or social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalent substitution for an Associates degree is a minimum of two years of demonstrated successful experience as an effective team member in a PACE model with one of those years in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Required Experience:A minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric health care setting. Supervisory/lead experience is required.

Required Certifications and Licensure: Valid PA Driver's License. CNA preferred.
