Job summary

Discord is seeking an Ad Operations Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area to scale campaigns and drive business growth through data-driven insights. You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to optimize ad delivery and ROI while reducing friction for customers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in digital advertising, hands-on AI tooling experience, and strong SQL/Python skills to build internal reporting pipelines.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in digital advertising, ad operations, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools to drive measurable efficiency gains.
• Comfort working with data and light scripting — SQL required; Python or similar strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a broad variety of ad technologies, campaign operation methodologies, and ad tracking/measurement solutions.
• Experience partnering with Engineering and/or Product on technical escalations, platform integrations, or API-level troubleshooting.
• Successful track record working directly with clients — understanding needs and delivering value.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ad campaigns are implemented and launched on time and to specification across dates, targeting, tracking, reach goals, geographies, and budget.
• Provide hands-on technical support to key customers and Ad Sales partners, and manage escalation paths with Engineering for integration issues.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and technical teams to optimize campaign outcomes and maximize client ROI, including A/B testing of messaging and targeting.
• Synthesize campaign performance insights for internal stakeholders and clients, including ROI, trends, and actionable recommendations.
• Build and scale automations and tooling (including AI/LLM‑based workflows) to reduce manual effort and increase leverage.
• Serve as the operational engine for multiple revenue-driving functions across the Discord Business Organization.
