Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Payroll Specialist/Analyst to own end-to-end payroll activities for US and Canadian employees, using ADP Workforce Now. You will manage multi-state cycles, investigate discrepancies, and provide timely resolutions while ensuring accuracy and compliance across tax regulations.

The role requires independent work and teamwork with the payroll team. You will handle data review, processing, year-end tasks, and system improvements, supporting Canadian and US payroll

Qualifications

• 3 years of recent multi-state and Canadian payroll experience.
• Working knowledge of Canadian payroll taxes, deductions, remittances, and year-end requirements.
• Strong U.S. payroll with multi-state and entities.
• Ability to provide guidance and training to payroll team members on processes, system functionality, and resolving payroll issues.
• Direct ADP Workforce Now experience.
• Experience troubleshooting payroll discrepancies and resolving employee payroll issues.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations and year-end activities.
• Comfortable working with payroll reports and large amounts of payroll data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and be a team player.
• Payroll certification such as CPP, PCP preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Own payroll activities from data review through final processing and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage recurring payroll cycles for hourly and salaried employees.
• Review payroll inputs and identify issues before finalization.
• Handle earnings, deductions, adjustments, timekeeping, and other payroll changes.
• Process special and off-cycle payrolls when required.
• Research employee payroll questions and provide timely resolutions.
• Investigate differences between expected and actual payroll results.
• Support payroll activities for employees in Canada and the U.S.
• Apply Canadian payroll rules relating to taxes, deductions, remittances, and reporting.
• Assist with Canadian year-end requirements and reconciliations.
• Support U.S. payroll tax activities and respond to notices.
• Reconcile payroll information and investigate variances between payroll, tax and accounting records.
• Generate payroll reports and use reporting to identify errors.
• Participate in payroll system changes, upgrades, testing, and implementation.
• Validate payroll results.
• Identify ways to simplify payroll processes and strengthen controls.
• Provide knowledge and day-to-day assistance to other payroll team members.
