Job summary

Ennis Center For Children is seeking an Adoption Specialist to obtain permanency for children through adoption and to manage cases across multiple counties. The role reports to the Adoption Team Supervisor and requires a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, plus relevant licensure and agency requirements.

The position emphasizes completing home studies, guiding youth and families, and coordinating with court and social service partners to promote timely adoptions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain permanency for children through adoption in assigned counties.
• Complete all required home studies and related reports.
• Follow-up on adoption inquiries and recruit families as needed.
• Inform youth in MARE process and ensure registration by deadline.
• Transport youth and families as needed.
• Attend/participate in case conferences, hearings, visits, etc.
