Job summary

Bethany Christian Services seeks a dedicated SWAN Permanency Specialist to develop home studies, manage placement processes, and support families through permanency. You will collaborate with counties, prepare children for finalization, and ensure timely documentation while adhering to state licensure and agency standards.

Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s, with experience in domestic adoptions and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field.
• Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field is a plus.
• Experience with writing home studies for domestic adoptions.
• Past work in child/family welfare is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply logic and critical thinking to solve problems.
• Confidentiality and reliable with deadlines.
• Customer service mindset and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Develop home studies and family profiles for initially approved families.
• Complete all reports and documents in accordance with agency and licensing expectations.
• Provide placement and post placement services for adoptive families.
• Administer process steps for child profile, recruitment, and finalization.
• Prepare children for permanency through life books and therapies.
• Coordinate care with local counties and other professionals.
• Attend SWAN and adoption-related meetings and trainings.
• Perform duties evenings and weekends as needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field
