Job summary

SPCA of Texas in Dallas, TX seeks a Supervisor for Lifesaving Programs to lead adoption, retail, and customer service operations across shelters. You will supervise the Lifesaving Programs team, coach staff, and ensure high-quality care and positive adopter experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in animal welfare, adoption programs, retail, customer service, or related operations.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Texas driver's license and eligibility to operate SPCA of Texas vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily adoption, retail, and customer service operations.
• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to the Lifesaving Programs team.
• Establish performance expectations and ongoing coaching, feedback, and development.
• Lead onboarding and training to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing coverage, and daily operational needs.
• Monitor customer interactions and resolve escalated concerns.
• Support achieving departmental goals related to adoptions and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within animal housing and adoption areas.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with policies and safety standards.
• Collaborate across departments to support continuity of care and successful placements.
• Oversee PetSmart Adoption Program operations and related staff/volunteers.
• Participate in hiring, audits, and quality assurance activities.
