Job summary

MercyFirst in Brooklyn, NY seeks a qualified professional for the Enhanced Family Foster Care (EFFC) program. The role focuses on preparing adoption packets, conducting home studies, and supporting finalization. You will collaborate with casework, medical staff, and attorneys to ensure timely permanency outcomes.

The position is full time with a hybrid schedule. A valid driver’s license and 1+ year of related experience are required, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• Valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
• 1+ years work-related experience with the knowledge and training in working with children and families including child development stages and family dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and completes adoption packets for finalization.
• Meet with pre-adoptive foster parents to gather information and documents for home study and finalization.
• Completes adoptive home studies, addendums, and documentation for finalization packets.
• Attends adoption and permanency meetings and reports information to EFFC staff.
• Develops and maintains a tracking system to monitor ASFA milestones and regulatory timeframes.
