Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensure quality care as residents’ healthcare needs change.
• Maintain consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming the role and responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech / Aide to meet residents’ needs and staffing requirements.
• Assist in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians / CMAs, and Caregivers, providing ongoing training and education, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Manage staff schedules.
• Oversee medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision and/or administration in the community. Conduct periodic medication skills inventory checks and medication audits per Brookdale Guidelines.
• Share on-call duties as required.
• Maintain education as required to obtain a state nursing license (LPN / LVN or RN) and possess a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.
• Hold an LPN or LVN license.
