Job summary

Life Care Center Westminster is seeking an experienced RN to serve as Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a 120-bed long-term care facility. The role focuses on quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

The ADON will assist the DON in planning, organizing, directing Nursing Services, and supervising staff, with emphasis on infection control, patient safety, and staff development. Strong leadership and licensure are required.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• Currently licensed/registered RN with active license in good standing.
• Two years' geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification upon hire and maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control.
• Assume the duties of the DON in their absence and provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships and ensure adherence to policies and compliance.
