Job summary

Beaver Dam Health Care Center in Beaver Dam, WI, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our dedicated nursing leadership team. The ADON supports the Director of Nursing, coordinates resident care, and mentors staff to maintain high standards of care in a long-term care setting.

Qualified candidates are an RN licensed in Wisconsin with an Associate's or BSN (BSN preferred), 2–3 years of nursing experience including long-term care, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• RN license in Wisconsin required.
• Associate's or BSN preferred.
• 2–3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in long-term care; leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Nursing Leadership: assist the DON in planning, organizing, and directing nursing operations.
• Supervision & Staffing: oversee daily nursing activities and supervise staff.
• Resident Care Oversight: monitor quality of care and support care plan development.
• Staff Development: assist in orientation, training, and ongoing education of nursing staff.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Quality Improvement: participate in QAPI initiatives.
• Infection Control: assist with infection prevention and control protocols.
• Incident Management: investigate incidents and contribute to corrective actions.
• Clinical Support: provide direct nursing care in emergencies or staffing shortages.
• Communication: maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and departments.
