Job summary

Ava Nursing and Rehab Center in Curwensville, PA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in managing daily operations, wound care, and infection control in a residents' focused setting. Licensed RN with long-term care leadership experience is required; the ADON will participate in surveys, mentor staff, uphold policy, and ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

Licensed RN with current license.
Experience in a long-term care facility.
Experience supervising nursing staff.
Infection control experience.
CDC Infection Control course completed or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing daily nursing department functions.
Treat wounds and oversee infection control within the facility.
Participate in regulatory surveys/inspections as requested by administrator or director of nursing.
Promote quality resident care through mentoring and supervision of nursing staff.
Ensure policy compliance and a safe, compassionate work environment.
