Job summary

Island Lake Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead nursing operations in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. The role focuses on compliance, program implementation, and staff mentorship to ensure high-quality geriatric care.

The ADON will participate in committees, drive quality improvement, and coordinate with other departments. Florida RN license required with leadership experience and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations in partnership with the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulations.
• Mentor and lead nursing staff; implement clinical services and programs.
• Collaborate with other departments and participate in committees.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
