Job summary

Charlestown by Erickson Senior Living is seeking an ADON to lead and mentor clinical staff across Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods. You’ll ensure appropriate staffing by resident acuity, monitor infection control, and drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, budget collaboration with the DON, and sustaining Erickson’s person-centered care philosophy in a continuing care retirement community.

Qualifications

• Current RN nursing license with no restrictions for the state of operation.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare leadership role.
• Expertise in wound care, quality improvement, MDS, falls prevention, hydration, infection control.
• EMR experience preferred.
• Infection Prevention Certification within 90 days of employment.
• CPR/First Aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of clinical staff in Erickson’s Person-Centered Care approach.
• Ensure appropriate staff based on resident acuity in each level of care.
• Monitor infection control and develop appropriate policies for infection control monitoring and reporting.
• Monitor clinical quality areas including wound care, infection control, falls risk reduction, hydration, pain management and dehydration.
• Participate in Wound Rounds, Operations Meetings, Utilization Review, and PI/RM/S Committee.
• Review clinical outcomes to meet benchmarking thresholds.
• Collaborate with DON to plan, develop and maintain the clinical operational budget for the nursing department.
• Partner with DON and clinical leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness.

Compensation: $115-130k per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus

How you will make an impact

• Leading and mentoring a team of clinical staff members, ensuring Erickson’s Person-Centered Care approach, and creating an exceptional environment for our residents.
• Ensuring appropriate staff is provided based on resident acuity in each level of care.
• Monitoring infection control for staff and residents and developing appropriate policies for infection control monitoring and reporting.
• Monitoring clinical quality areas including wound care, infection control, falls risk reduction, pain management, weight loss, and dehydration.
• Participating in Wound Rounds, Operations Meetings, Utilization Review, and Performance Improvement/Risk Management/Safety (PI/RM/S) Committee.
• Reviewing clinical outcomes to ensure that we stay above the National, State, and Erickson benchmarking thresholds.
• Collaborating with DON to plan, develop and maintain the clinical operational budget for the nursing department.
• Partnering with DON and clinical leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness.

What you will need

• Current RN nursing license with no restrictions for the state in which they operate.
• Expertise in wound care, quality improvement, MDS, falls, hydration, infection control, care planning, etc.… a plus.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare leadership role (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, etc.).
• Experience with an electronic medical record (EMR) system is preferred.
• Must obtain Infection Prevention Certification within 90 days of employment.
• CPR/First Aide training preferred.
