Job summary

CASTLEHILLS is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (Healthcare) to support the Director of Nursing in overseeing licensed and non-licensed staff delivering 24/7 health care to residents. The role involves planning, staffing, policy implementation, and daily collaboration with management.

The position requires 3-5 years of nurse management experience, a BSN, and ongoing licensure with the State Board of Nursing. Strong leadership and compliance culture are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• 3-5 years of nurse management, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff.
• Develop and implement nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff.
• Assist with employee appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Act as back-up for the DON, RN and LVN staff.
• Oversee clinical operations and daily resident rounds.
• Ensure resident safety and respect in care delivery.
• Liaise between residents, families and physicians.
• Prepare reports and recommendations to the DON.
