Job summary

STONERIVER is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in directing licensed and non-licensed staff delivering care to residents on a 24/7 basis in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The ADON will assist in planning, developing and supervising nursing activities, recruit and train staff, monitor resident safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role requires BSN (preferred) and 3–5 years of nurse management experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain CE/licensing requirements.
• 3-5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising the activities of the nursing staff.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; participate in appraisals.
• Oversee clinical operations, including daily rounds and monitoring resident conditions.
• Ensure resident safety and respect; liaise with residents, families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and provide reports to the DON.
