Job summary

Arcadia LTC in Lincoln, IL seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations. This role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local standards to maintain the highest quality of care.

The ADON will coordinate nursing services, oversee staffing, and handle administrative tasks while promoting a supportive, compliant, and patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved LPN program with a pharmacology course.
• Must possess a current Illinois unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN.
• 2 years of experience in a supervisor healthcare role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total regimen of care.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in ensuring enough licensed practical and/or registered nurses; Certified Nursing Assistants; medications; and safety equipment are available and utilized in the proper manner for each shift to ensure that quality care is maintained.
