Aperion Care in Chicago, IL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing department operations to ensure top-quality resident care.

The role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and requires RN licensure with leadership experience. You will oversee staffing, policy adherence, and regulatory compliance while coordinating care across the facility.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must have, as a minimum, 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
• Must have, as a minimum of 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and general public.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as at the willingness to handle difficult residents.
• Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing daily nursing department functions.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating policies and procedures governing the nursing department.
• Ensure printed material at the nurse’s station is current and useful for staff.
• Develop and periodically update nursing service objectives and philosophy statements.
• Assist in developing a nursing organization structure and staffing plans.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure nursing staff adhere to job descriptions and policies.
• Participate in facility surveys and regulatory inspections as required.
• Assist in discharge planning and care coordination for residents.
• Perform administrative duties such as form completion, charting, and evaluations.
• Provide direct nursing care as needed and monitor medication/treatment schedules.
