Job summary

Avante at Ormond Beach is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department. The ADON will also direct in-service educational programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local standards, maintaining high quality care.

Ideal candidates hold a valid RN license, CPR certification, and a positive attitude toward the elderly, with prior hospital or long-term

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing with applicable licensure.
• Must maintain current CPR certification.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must read and write legibly in English.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in hospital or long-term care facility.
• Ability to plan and develop new programs.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Willing to adopt new training methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department.
• Direct the in-service educational programs in accordance with federal, state and local standards.
• Ensure the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.
• Support staff through training, supervision and mentorship.
