Job summary

Aviata Health Group is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Lecanto, FL. The ADON will lead the nursing department, provide ongoing education and mentorship, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines while supporting clinical staff and residents.

The role requires RN licensure, a registered nursing degree, CPR certification, and several years of nursing and management experience to foster staff development and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in the state.
• RN Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must hold a current CPR certification.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience in a setting serving the same resident population.
• Minimum of one year of management experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facility operations.
• Demonstrated compassion and dedication to high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing education, mentorship, and leadership development to clinical management and clinicians.
• Assist in development and achievement of nursing department goals and educational programming.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Recruit, hire, and retain qualified nursing staff per staffing plan and regulations.
• Collaborate with department heads to promote interdepartmental relations.
• Develop and monitor documentation systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide direct resident care as needed to maintain quality of care.
• Drive innovative improvements to systems and processes.
