Job summary

Villa Healthcare in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the nursing team under the Director of Nursing. The ADON will supervise, delegate, and evaluate nursing services to maintain quality care and advise medical staff and Administrators.

Responsibilities include staff management, admissions assessment, budget oversight, and program development to improve outcomes. Requires RN license and Nursing degree with 3+ years leadership experience; travel up to 10% may be

Qualifications

• Must have strong management and delegation abilities.
• Must have budgeting and financial management skills.
• Able to adapt to a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Health requirements must be met as required by law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review daily work assignments to ensure regulatory compliance and staffing.
• Assist DON in managing nursing staff and enforcing policies with HR guidance.
• Participate in admissions and assess resident needs for new admissions.
• Ensure physicians make visits as required.
• Ensure equipment, supplies, and staffing support care delivery.
• Manage nursing department budget and provide planning information.
• Collaborate on staff development programs to improve care quality.
• Work with regional teams to improve resident outcomes.
• Strategic planning for reduced unnecessary hospitalizations.
• Maintain Abuse & Neglect policy compliance and enforcement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
