Job summary

Veritas Management Group in Pueblo, CO is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing in guiding clinical care and shaping a strong nursing team.

The ADON will mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, support staffing and orientation, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes. It also provides an opportunity to step into the Director role when needed.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license required.
• 2–5 years of management experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Collaborative leader focused on resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the Nursing Department and assist the Director of Nursing in achieving clinical and operational excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff while fostering teamwork and accountability.
• Ensure high-quality resident care through regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and clinical oversight.
• Assist with staffing, orientation, performance management, and employee development.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Support survey readiness, infection prevention, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Step into the Director of Nursing role when needed.
