Job summary

Responsibilities

• Hiring new nurses and overseeing the onboarding process by training them or assigning them to a trainer.
• Creating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate nursing coverage for every shift.
• Coaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issues.
• Monitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates within budgetary constraints.
• Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status.
• Conducting employee evaluations that identify nurses’ strengths and areas of improvement.
• Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses.
• Checking patient records to ensure that they are accurate and up to date.
