Qualifications

• Active RN license in Michigan.
• 2 years of long-term care management experience preferred.
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare laws.
• Strong written communication skills to compile reports.
• Analytical skills to interpret data.
• Coaching skills to help nurses improve.
• Time management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Hiring new nurses and overseeing onboarding by training them or assigning trainers.
• Creating schedules to ensure adequate nursing coverage for every shift.
• Coaching nurses to improve performance and handle discipline issues.
• Monitoring expenses to keep the facility within budget.
• Holding staff meetings to discuss patient status.
• Conducting employee evaluations identifying strengths and improvement areas.
• Making rounds to assess patient status and observe nurses.
• Checking patient records to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
