Job summary

Pepperbush Holdings, LLC (San Diego Post Acute) in San Diego, CA is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading a 24/7 care team. The ADON will supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, help hire and train, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee clinical operations, advocate for resident safety and rights, and liaise with families and physicians.

This role requires strong leadership, confidentiality, and the ability to implement nursing policies

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise licensed and non-licensed nursing staff.
• Assist DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and resident rights.
• Communicate with residents, families and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Define roles and responsibilities of the ADON.
• Assist the DON in the design, implementation and evaluation of nursing systems.
• Oversee clinical operations, daily rounds and resident condition monitoring.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; conduct staff meetings.
• Ensure resident safety and provide high-quality resident care.
• Liaise with residents, families and physicians; maintain confidentiality.
• Provide reports and recommendations to the DON.
