Job summary

Optima Care Harborview is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead our nursing department in Hudson County, NJ. This full-time, day shift role offers a competitive salary and a clear path to clinical excellence.

The ADON will mentor staff, ensure best practices, and partner with facility leadership to maintain high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe, supportive environment that prioritizes high-quality resident care.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff to ensure clinical excellence and best practices.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous professional growth.
• Serve as a key liaison between nursing staff and facility leadership.
• Address clinical and unit-related concerns in a timely and effective manner.
• Oversee and participate in weekly wound rounds.
• Support facility surveys, audits, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
