Job summary

Aston Group is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing and guide the nursing team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This leadership role focuses on clinical program planning, regulatory compliance, and staff development to achieve outstanding resident outcomes.

You will oversee operations, participate in key committees, and drive quality improvement while supporting a dynamic, patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Florida RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission requirements, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in overseeing all nursing operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulations.
• Serve as a role model, mentor, and leader for nursing staff.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical services and programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support holistic resident care.
• Participate in committees such as Quality Assurance, Infection Control, Safety, and Leadership.
• Oversee training and onboarding of new nursing staff.
• Conduct regular staff meetings to address challenges and celebrate successes.
• Participate in surveys and accreditation visits.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
