Job summary

Aston Group in Florida is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to partner with the Director of Nursing, lead the nursing team, and ensure high-quality geriatric care across our skilled nursing and rehabilitation services.

You will oversee nursing operations, mentor staff, drive quality improvement, and ensure compliance with OBRA, Joint Commission, and state regulations while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of OBRA, Joint Commission, and state regulations.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations in partnership with the Director of Nursing.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulations.
• Mentor, motivate, and lead nursing staff.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate clinical services and programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support resident care.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, Infection Control, Safety, and Leadership committees.
• Oversee training and onboarding of new nursing staff.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and participate in surveys and accreditation visits.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
