An established industry player is seeking an ADON Health and Wellness Coordinator to oversee healthcare operations and ensure quality resident care. This role involves supervising nursing staff, managing medication, and providing training to caregivers. Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure residents' healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and maintains quality care as residents' healthcare needs change. Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming the role and responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide to meet residents' needs and staffing requirements.
Assists in supervising community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers. Provides ongoing training and education to Caregivers, including classroom in-services and situation-specific training. Manages staff schedules.
Oversees medication training, pharmacy management, and medication supervision or administration within the community. Conducts periodic medication skills inventory checks and medication audits in accordance with Brookdale Guidelines.
Shares on-call duties as required.
Qualifications: Education required to obtain a state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience. LPN or LVN license required.
