Job summary

BrightStar Care – Local Home Care Partners in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeks an experienced Associate Director of Nursing (ADON). This hands-on RN leader partners with the Director of Nursing to supervise clinical operations, drive quality, patient safety, and regulatory readiness.

You will step into DON duties when needed, oversee staff development, and strengthen referral relationships across hospitals, SNFs, and VA programs.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Texas RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of home health leadership experience as a DON/ADON or similar role.
• Experience with Medicare home health, OASIS, and Plan-of-Care management.
• Experience with home health EMR systems; AlayaCare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the agency's second clinical leader and support the Director of Nursing in overall clinical operations.
• Assume full DON authority and accountability when the DON is out.
• Lead staff onboarding, training, and competency validation for RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and caregivers.
• Drive clinical quality, patient safety, risk management, and regulatory readiness.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships and clinical collaboration with hospitals and payors.
• Lead documentation optimization, chart audits, and policy-compliance reviews.
